The Sketchbook Library

Liz found a sweet parking spot along the curb in Williamsburg, and as we hopped off for our walk we looked up and there it was, an object of the heart: an open-shop library collecting, cataloguing, preserving and offering for consultation thousands of handwritten and hand-drawn sketchbooks, something I’m crazy about. Before permanently residing on the library shelves at 103A North 3rd St in Brooklyn, books are taken on a small tour – in the video above you can see the summer travelling library, while this below gives you an idea of the shop itself, which is an amazing space.
