Drawing Blood by Molly Crabapple

Dear Molly,

it took me two months to read your book but that is because I wanted to savour every word. I love your work so much I was afraid you might fall. Instead, you fly. Thank you for the timeless tale of what it means to be young and the unique journey of what it means to be you. Thank you for embracing burlesque and journalism, Occupy and Syria. Thank you for being a glorious woman and a hungry, feverish artist of our times. Last but not least, thank you for writing how it feels to be alchemically transformed by 2011, like so many of us were, and to keep working after that.

Bless you.
